When compared to past, not-on-the-beach hotel stays, being right on the beach has lengthened our beach trip - - it's quicker to fit-in beach fun, as well as avoid the search for parking. Enjoyed coffee on the balcony (and the ocean view) in the morning and my wife's embrace on the balcony in the evenings ... did I mention that we stayed with our 3 kids? Had a memorable time!

I just called for information about reservations and later called back to make the reservation. Gretta assisted me on both phone calls. I have called at least 9 other hotels on the Outer Banks and none were more helpful and friendly than Gretta. I am so appreciative of someone kind, helpful and personable. We had the best vacation ever. This hotel was very clean, the pepole were wonderful. The beds were so comfortable. We couldn't have stayed in a better place. Oh yea we were feet off the ocean. Nags head inn thank u so much for making our stay so womderful!!!!!!!!!! We will be back.

Spring Break 2012 was our family's 3rd stay at the centrally located Nags Head Inn. Although the weather was too cold to swim (mid-April), we were close enough for a Corolla day trip - - where we drove offroad and watched the wild Banker horses. The following day, we found N.H.I. to be near enough for us to travel the longer commute to Hatteras, then visit Ocracoke island by boat ferry.

Geat time to go to the coast, my sister & I enjoyed our " Unwinding" getaway. The Inn is situated perfectly to everything but most importantly the beach. So nice to wake up and hear the sound of the waves and the birds....Coming to the beach in October is a perfect time to have the beach pretty much to yourself, weather was perfection as was the sweet potato/ham biscuits, and the hospitality of Miss Shirl and the Nags Head Inn!

We just got back from Nags Head and are missing it already. We had a great time exploring the area and playing on the beach. My son is in heaven after catching a huge cobia and two Atlantic sharpnose sharks. Your staff from the front desk to the housekeeping crew was excellent! We made a reservation for Tuesday, August 23, but problems came up at home and we had to cancel on Sunday. The desk manager on duty, Bree, was very nice to us and didn't charge us a fee for early departure (72 hours notice required). We love the Outer Banks and we WILL come back to stay at the Nags Head Inn after being treated so well!!

Summer 2011 was our family\'s 2nd stay at Nags Head Inn. Despite our stay coinciding with \"Beach Nourishment\" week, we again had a beautiful oceanfront, upper-level view ... watched dolphins porpoising in the morning waves and observed birds diving the waters then surfacing with fish they caught. As before, we had a relaxing time.
