Thanksgiving is a fun time of the year to be on the Outer Banks. There are several events happening for the week of Thanksgiving. Here are a few:
Fishing on the Outer Banks is Really good now! – This is one of the best times of the year for surf fishing. Fishing is great right on the Nags Head Inn’s 4-acres of oceanfront hotel! In addition you will love the convenience of Pier Fishing at nearby Jennette’s Pier just down the beach from the hotel. Jennette’s Pier is also having the Jennette’s Third Annual Redfish Saturday Tournament Nov. 30 from 7 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Kites with Lights – Saturday, November 30 – Sunset. Watch the sky light up with Kites with Lights! As soon as the sun starts to set, go to nearby Jockeys Ridge and see huge lighted kites soar above the dunes.
Santa Under the Sea – Santa is stopping by the NC Aquarium on Friday & Saturday and is going scuba diving with the sharks! Get your picture taken with Santa while he is under water, tell him what you want for Christmas, and write him a letter to put in the drop box. Check out the NC aquarium in Manteo for more information.
Thanksgiving is a great time to visit us on the outer banks. The fishing is usually fantastic this time of the year with rockfish, trout, and blues. We are expecting good weather so perhaps enjoy some beachcombing on our fantastic oceanfront. Some other events happening over thanksgiving are:
