There is a great Easter Egg Hunt at nearby Jockey's Ridge : Fly Into Spring and Easter Eggstravaganza on April 6th & 7th , 2012

This annual spring event will be held during National Kite Month,on April 6th and 7th,the kite festival will be from from 10am to 4pm on both Saturday and Sunday.The Easter Eggstravaganza will ONLY be on Saturday from 11-1pm. This Festival is a free event and is open to the public.Spectators enjoy large show kites on the dunes of Jockey's Ridge State Park! Kitty Hawk Kites will also be offering free stunt and power kite lessons throughout the day on the dune. On Saturday, Fly Into Spring will continue on Jockey's Ridge and Easter Eggstravaganza will take place across the street at the Kitty Hawk Kites store in Nags Head. It is the LARGEST Easter Egg Hunt on the Outer Banks! Several hunts will be held from 11am to 1pm. This is a fun event for all ages! The Easter Bunny will be at Kitty Hawk Kites for photo opportunities and over 2000 plastic eggs will be hidden for egg hunts.
