Outer Banks Piers – Jennette’s Pier

Hurricane Isabel devastated Jennette’s Pier in 2003, but NC Aquariums led rebuilding it as an all-concrete, 1,000′ long showpiece. On May 22, 2009, seventy years to the day from its first construction, then Governor Beverly Perdue led the ‘sand breaking’ dedication of this $25 million dollar renovation you can enjoy today. Besides pier fishing and sightseeing you can experience: fishing tournaments/programs, summer day camps, day/night programs, private fishing lessons, volleyball camps & much more. Three large wind turbines plus an extensive water recovery system serve as responsible, educational models for a sustainable future.
